Prompt: Did You Think You’d Be Here?

This is a bit tricky because, on one hand, yes. I always knew I’d be able to achieve whatever I set my mind to if I had enough determination to do what needed to be done; however, a small part of me was also worried that, no, I wouldn’t be where I am.

I will say, there are aspects of my life that I never expected. Friends, stories, books, classes, experience. There are certain things that I currently have in my life and that I look back on that are insane. Take the typhoon that happened in Japan in September or October of 2019. I had just arrived in Japan for my study abroad and my host family was away visiting their relatives so I was left alone in Tokyo. I never expected to go through something like that and then also have an earthquake happen at the same time plus a small volcanic eruption in the north of Japan. There are crazy experiences that happen in life that just make one go utterly dumbstruck thinking about it.

Looking at my blog, it’s something I’ve also wanted to create and now I look back on all the posts I’ve created and I’m taken back a step. Writing is my passion right alongside reading, so being able to see the portfolio of the two that I’ve put together makes my day.

While I’m writing this, I’m in New Hampshire visiting a good friend; I never thought I’d come to this state or have a connection that I can readily come visit. It’s weird and exciting how things in life unfold. What about you?

Did you think you’d be where you’re currently at? Let me know in the comments below!
