Darien Lake

Welcome to the second official blog post of A Bookoholic’s Life! Today my graduating class and I went on our senior trip to Darien Lake. A lot of them have already been to the amusement park, however, this was my first time there. I’ve got to say, I loved it. Even though the weather was kind of crappy it wasn’t exactly terrible and there were pretty much no lines.

The park was almost empty which was great because my small group and I managed to go around to a lot of the rides with ease. It drizzled here and there but aside from that it was warm and pretty comfortable. I was able to comfortably wear shorts with leggings.

The viper was probably my favorite out of the day. It was fast moving and just gave me a huge adrenaline rush. It had a few loops which were the absolute best. I loved it!

The Ride of Steel was pretty fun too but I think it definitely would have been made better with some loops. I enjoyed the huge fall though! That was probably my favorite part of the entire ride. The friend that I sat with got really sick though! I felt bad for him but was seriously glad he didn’t throw up on the ride.

Sadly I wasn’t able to go on the Mind Eraser. The ride looked great and like it definitely would have been my favorite but sadly I only saw the ride on the way out of the park.

It was all for not though because I had a lot of fun inside the park without that ride. I got some killer fries at a pizza place on the boardwalk.

I also found Damon at a gift shop. For all those Tiger’s Curse fans out there, you know what I’m talking about. While we’re on the topic who’s your favorite? Kishan or Ren? I’m definitely a Ren fan just because of the arguments between him and Kells. If you haven’t checked out the serious I highly recommend it!

Once we left the park the day was brought to a close by going to Frankeez for some Ice Cream! It was pretty great!

Over all it was a great day. A perfect example of never letting crappy weather get to you while you’re out and about! You can still have fun on a semi rainy day!

That’s about it for now so I’ll see you all in the next post!
